Sustainable City

Sustainable City is an educational card game developed for mobile in partnership with the association perceptionisthenewbrand over the course of a week. The player must play the correct colored card to raise awareness to social, economic and environmental decisions.

perceptionisthenewbrand is an youth activist organization from Évora, Portugal that focuses on trying to make thee community a better and safer space for everyone.

Socially Positive Cards

Play the correct colored card to counter the negative effect on society that your opponent plays.

 

Education

Educate yourself on both the problems that communities might face as well as preventive measures you can take to combat them.

Implementation

I only had around 4 days to complete this project so everything was done under a big time constrain.

 

Implemented:

  • Glossary Viewing Area

  • Tutorial

  • Randomly pulled cards

  • Playing card and determining the winner

  • Score

​

Problems:

  • The game was developed for mobile but I had little experience at the time with anchor points and resolutions so, it doesn't translate well to other sizes

  • It's not clear what is happening when the player plays a card, UI wise
